Dandelions Bereavement Support Programme
The Dandelions Bereavement Support Programme is designed to equip you with the tools, knowledge and a fresh mindset to come to terms with your grief, helping you work towards your future. Newly refreshed for 2018, the bereavement support programme still uses the foundations of The Grief Journey programme, created by Dr. Bill Webster, but has been updated with recent findings, introducing our own and unique format. The programme sessions are informal, and you are welcome to bring along a family member or friend along for extra support.
Over four weeks the programme participants and facilitators meet once a week for two-hour sessions, in which you will cover how grief affects people, confronting emotions and loneliness. The programme is aimed at anyone who has experienced grief, whether that be recent or many years ago. The programme set up offers a safe place for grieving people to express grief freely, without the worry of feeling judgement or guilt.
Our Bereavement Support Team (from left): Angela Thompson, Fay Bloor, Lynne Rigby & Wendy Booth
The team of facilitators, headed up by Angela Thompson our Bereavement Nurse, have several years of experience. To benefit from this course, attendance to all four sessions is required. Pre-booking is essential, and spaces fill up fast. Should you be unsuccessful in securing a place, you will be added to the waiting list for the next available programme.
